Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality care that empowers adults with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualised support plans promoting independence and inclusion
  • Provide daily living assistance including personal care, household tasks, and community activities
  • Promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing for service users
  • Maintain accurate documentation including care plans, incident reports, and financial records
  • Support access to community services and the development of self-advocacy skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals
  • Adhere to HIQA regulations, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety guidelines
Essential Criteria - Social Care Assistant
  • QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related field
  • At least 1 year's experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Understanding of person-centred and rights-based care approaches
  • Full clean manual driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
Additional Requirements - Social Care Worker
  • Level 7 or Level 8 Degree in Social Care or related discipline
    or
    Current CORU registration
  • Previous experience in residential or day service settings is desirable
  • Ability to support care planning and contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork
