Market Strategist

\

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our Fixed Income Trading desk as a Market Strategist. Responsibilities include risk management, strategy configuration and implementation, and primary market trading.

\

Market Strategists work closely with operations, compliance, brokers, and custodians to mitigate risk and generate revenue. They design, operate, and improve high-performance algorithmic trading strategies on electronic trading venues and RFQ platforms.

\

The team builds relationships with issuers and trading partners and works closely with software engineers to enhance trading strategies.

\Key Qualifications\
  • \
  • 2-5 years of experience in trading support or a comparable role at a trading firm or financial institution\
  • Excellent academic background\
  • Experience in bond pricing, settling, clearing, and ETF knowledge are beneficial\
  • Technical proficiency in SQL and Python is required\
  • A highly motivated individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.\
  • Experience in programming languages like Python is preferred.\
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.\
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments and regulations.\
  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify trends.\
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.\
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.\
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.\
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.\
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.\
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.\
  • Willingness to obtain necessary certifications and training.\
  • Strong passion for the financial industry and commitment to lifelong learning.\
