Early Years Education and Care Manager

The role of the Deputy Manager is to manage and operate a new early years service. The successful candidate will lead the way in delivering high-quality educational programmes, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensuring a safe environment for children.

Key responsibilities include operational management, curriculum development, staff supervision, and effective communication with parents. A minimum of FETAC/QQI level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education is required, along with relevant experience and strong leadership skills.

Required Skills:

  • Operational Management: Efficiently managing registrations and admissions, maintaining compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Curriculum and Practice: Implementing and developing a high quality child-centric curriculum, fostering equality and diversity.
  • Act as the Designated Child Protection Liaison Person, ensuring staff understand their roles in child protection.
  • Build relationships with parents, maintain effective communication, and organise meetings and events.
  • Promote and market the services and conduct viewings and inquiries.
  • Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and performing staff while maintaining a Best Practice culture.
  • Responsible for implementing company policies, procedures, health and safety/risk assessment.
  • Responsible for keeping accurate records of meetings and presenting progress reports.
