Job Title: Senior Data Migration Specialist

  • Purpose:
  • We are seeking an experienced data migration specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless transition of business requirements into new systems.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement and manage data migration from legacy systems to new systems
  • Liaise with Business and Technology teams to realise data migration requirements
  • Enable best in class customer experiences through efficient data management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels to drive project success
  • Document and present data migration strategy to relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and propose data migration best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and mitigate migration risks and issues

Requirements:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to recognize patterns in data
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and logical thinking
  • Good experience in handling complex data migration projects in banking domain
  • Working knowledge of database systems, design and management
  • Ability to work with large datasets in various formats, tables and structures
  • Proven track record of business engagement and liaison between business and technical communities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate key issues, risks and challenges backed up with strong data evidence
  • Define and document migration requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, modifications, configurations and processes
  • Owning the data mapping sheet and interacting with Business Stakeholders and IT teams
