Operations Supervisor Role Overview

The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensuring production targets are met and quality standards maintained. This role is responsible for supervising a team of production workers, fostering teamwork and maintaining efficient workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor and manage production schedules to meet demands.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
  • Train, mentor and evaluate production staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Address and resolve operational issues that arise during the shift.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and workspace to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report shift performance data, including production output, downtime and other relevant metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Leaving certificate or equivalent; an engineering degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a production environment, ideally in the waste and quarry industries.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and safety regulations.
