About the Job:

We are looking for a skilled Regional Manager to lead our data center engineering team. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, coach, and develop employees who demonstrate Amazon Leadership Principles."
  • Manage team and individual performance, including promotions."
  • Create and improve metrics, driving efficiencies in repeatable work."
  • Apply high judgment to make trade-offs on competing business needs."
  • Establish strategic direction of the EMEA team, and influence roadmaps of technical or business partner teams."
  • Identify resource requirements and gaps, establishing a regional team roadmap to success."
  • Work directly with partner teams to implement new and improve existing processes and procedures, within their region and propagate globally where necessary."
  • Drive strategic communication, provides a technical strategy with limited guidance within their assigned Region."
  • Manage managers and team members with varying technical experience."
  • Identify risks and complexity to unblock engineers and partner teams."
  • Drive team timeliness, quality, operational stability and success meeting customer requirements/business objectives."
  • Can identify where to simplify, optimize, and reduce overhead."
  • Establish and/or streamline metrics, development, engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices."
  • Share best practices with peers."
  • Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design)"

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical/Mechanical/Structural Engineering or equivalent experience."
  • 4+ years in managing a distributed engineering team."
  • Managed a team of 6+ direct reports for 4+ years"
  • Experience in managing other managers"
