Project Estimator Role

Civil and electrical project estimators play a pivotal role in the development of construction projects, collaborating closely with project managers, planners, and engineers to deliver complex multidisciplinary undertakings. Their responsibilities encompass tendering from inception to completion, performing take-offs from detailed drawings, sourcing subcontractor quotes, participating in pre- and post-tender reviews, and much more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in compiling bids and tenders for infrastructure projects
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant data and information
  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for clients
  • Analyze and evaluate costs associated with large-scale construction projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

The ideal candidate will possess a degree qualification in quantity surveying or engineering, have a relevant trade background, and hold at least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity. Prior estimating experience is essential, as well as expertise in renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems, high-voltage substations, transmission and distribution, or utility projects.
