The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to a team of healthcare professionals and will play a pivotal role in reviewing and developing adult and later life services at the hospital. This is a full-time permanent post offering a competitive salary range.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Registration on the General and Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners, maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland in the specialty of Adult and Psychiatry of Later Life.
- Possession of the MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
- Seven years satisfactory postgraduate training and experience in the medical profession including five years in psychiatry, of which three years were in adult and later life psychiatry.
- A satisfactory knowledge of the administration of psychiatric services.
- Possess a high standard of professional attainment and the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the post.
