Technical Quality Manager Opportunity

A leading food manufacturer seeks a Technical Quality Manager to take full responsibility for quality systems, food safety compliance, and technical standards across its operations.

This is a senior role offering leadership responsibility and a key position within a growing business.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with BRC, HACCP, and customer standards.
  • Oversee staff training, internal audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Manage food safety, quality, and customer specifications for all products.
  • Approve labels and artwork for compliance with food legislation.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage product and environmental testing and report performance trends.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and prepare for audits and inspections.
  • Lead R&D initiatives for new product development and customer projects.
  • Provide technical support to production teams and supervise lab operations.
  • Stay up to date with relevant food safety legislation and update processes as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior quality or technical role within the food sector.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, BRC, and food law compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
