Reliability and Maintenance Systems Developer

As a key member of our system development team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovative solutions and improving customer experience. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled System Development Engineer II to join our Reliability and Maintenance Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Maintenance Excellence: Innovate, document, and improve work methods to standardize best practices, ensuring a safe work environment and requiring safe work practices.
  • Coordinate and plan work activities for the Control Systems Engineers to achieve goals and objectives of North America Customer Fulfillment teams.
  • Collaborate closely with building Operations, Operations Engineering, fulfillment center (FC) Start up Team, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) Software teams, Amazon Customer Excellence Systems (ACES) team, and Safety in supporting MHE systems optimization and project implementation.
  • Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including programmable logic controller (PLC)/personal computer (PC) controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations for system performance issues, providing analysis across all operations.
  • Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes and implement process improvements or retraining to avoid future incidents.
  • Apply subject matter expertise in material handling and electronic systems to maximize building utilization of systems.
