About the Role

This is a Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineers position in the Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The successful candidate will work on deploying and servicing building automation systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), to ensure the health of our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deployment of data center controls on time with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO)
  • Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automation
  • Service and support provided to partner teams, providing diagnosis and resolution of Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting events Resolution of tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers or our operations procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with electrical or mechanical controls systems and project management. You should also be able to understand electrical/control diagrams and schematics, control panel Bill of Materials (BoM), inspection, testing and commissioning, managing project scope, schedule, cost, stakeholder expectations, vendor/sub-contractors.

Additionally, you should have experience with controls construction / controls technology and be able to work in a competitive environment where customers are always looking for innovation and improvement.
