Job Description:

What you will do

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the engineering department at Silent-Aire. You will collaborate with department engineers on various challenging and innovative projects. This senior role requires excellent interpersonal skills to mentor junior engineers and coordinate with other departments to deliver comprehensive design packages.

Opportunity to work in the fast-paced Data Center sector with leading Hyperscale clients.

How you will do it

  • Provide technical design support focusing on mechanical engineering.
  • Lead project execution efforts.
  • Mentor and lead project teams, including less experienced engineers.
  • Identify training needs, develop training materials, and implement systems.
  • Communicate with external clients effectively.
  • Design custom air handling equipment and modular data centers per client specifications.
  • Select components like fans and coils, and prepare Bills of Materials.
  • Cost units and components.
  • Produce equipment and construction drawings.
  • Assist in developing new products and refining existing ones.
  • Interact with production and perform inspections.
  • Support continuous product improvement and business development activities.

What we look for

  • Availability to work in the office five days a week.
  • Mechanical engineering degree (BSc. Eng., B.Eng.).
  • At least ten years of related or consulting experience.
  • Minimum of five years in HVAC design, including equipment and system selection, design, and control; experience in metal fabrication is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with strong drafting standards knowledge.
  • Confident and tactful in client and colleague interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
  • Detail-oriented and diligent.
  • Ability to perform under stressful situations with tight deadlines.
