Junior Estimator

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Estimator. As a key member of our pre-construction phase, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for upcoming projects.

About the Role

You will work closely with experienced estimators, learning from their expertise while contributing your unique insights and ideas. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, analysing project specifications, researching material and labor costs, and collaborating with project managers and engineers to refine estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project requirements.
  • Research material and labor costs, subcontractor quotes, and other relevant data to ensure accuracy in estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address any concerns or questions.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other estimating software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
