Job Overview

A leading utility provider is seeking a senior professional to drive strategic internal engagement and align messaging across its diverse, multi-site workforce.

This role reports to the Director of Communications and focuses on enhancing employee advocacy, leadership visibility, and reputation management through best-in-class internal communication practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and lead company-wide internal communication strategy aligned with corporate vision and values.
  2. Coach senior leaders on effective internal messaging and communication capability.
  3. Oversee leadership communications and storytelling, ensuring message consistency and clarity.
  4. Develop and manage digital and hybrid communication channels, focusing on audience insight, measurement, and employee feedback.
  5. Support organisational transformation, cultural change, and employee engagement through strategic campaigns.
  6. Act as a key player in crisis communication and change management efforts.
  7. Build and lead a high-performing internal communications team.
Requirements:
  1. 10+ years' experience in internal communications or stakeholder management, preferably within utilities, infrastructure, or similarly regulated industries.
  2. Proven success leading strategic communications in large, complex organisations.
  3. Strong leadership and team development skills.
  4. Expertise in digital channel development, engagement metrics, and change communications.
  5. Confident influencing C-suite stakeholders and leading cross-functional collaboration.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Experience in public affairs, brand, media relations, or transformation programmes is an advantage.
