Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager

Clinical Nurse Leader – Carechoice Montenotte

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled healthcare professional to develop their leadership skills in a diverse and multi-cultural setting.

The Clinical Nurse Manager will play a central role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care. They will lead the nursing team in delivering person-centred care to residents.

  1. Prepare and administer drugs in line with company policy and An Bord Altranais guidelines.
  2. Ensure residents' hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining their dignity.
  3. Provide palliative care for dying residents and support their families.

The CNM will act up for the Director of Nursing in their absence or in an emergency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Team Management: Planning and allocation of nursing teams with appropriate staff members, skill mix and levels of experience to meet clinical demands and continuity of care.
  • Rota Management: Organization of fair and accurate on/off duty rotas and coordinated holiday plans and leave to ensure skill mix and resource readiness.
  • Budget and Service Plans: Collaboration with the Director of Nursing in preparing, implementing and evaluating budget and service plans within an agreed framework.
  • Resource Management: Controlling the use of all supplies and the proper use of all equipment.
  • Team Motivation: Leading by example with a strong team ethos, remaining positive and motivational.
  • Staff Development: Encouraging, training and guiding the team while maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience.
  • Proven track record in team management and performance management.
  • A minimum of 3 years in care of the elderly.
  • Continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
