About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our financial services tax team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to junior staff members, as well as contributing to business development activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members;
  • Contribute to business development activities, identifying opportunities to promote the firm's tax expertise and other services to clients and target clients;
  • Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed;
  • Review tax returns and computations, ensuring compliance with agreed timescales and internal procedures;
  • Participate in client meetings and confidently answer client queries.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification;
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience working in a financial services tax environment;
  • Strong technical knowledge and proven ability to identify opportunities for clients;
  • Asset Management and/or Insurance expertise would be an advantage;
  • Capable of working on own initiative and building trusted relationships with clients and the financial services teams across the firm and global network;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and people development skills to support the development of more junior staff;
  • Ambitious and wanting to pursue a career in practice.
