Job Overview:

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team. This role will be based in Donegal, Ireland and will have responsibility for manufacturing sites in the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Preparation of monthly management accounts to meet corporate deadlines
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Preparation of budgets and forecasts, analysis of actual versus budget and forecast
  • KPI Development: Development of KPIs and reporting of same
  • Finance Team Management: Manage finance team and work closely with senior management to develop the business
  • Audit Compliance: Responsible for year-end audit
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accuracy of inventory, assess for potential obsolescence and excess stock
  • Reporting: Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs including financial performance and annual budgets
  • Intercompany Reconciliation: Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
  • Cashflow Management: Cashflow management
  • ERP Improvement: Improvement of reports from ERP system
  • Statutory Returns: Statutory returns
  • Accounting Compliance: Manage the preparation of statutory financial accounts and audit
Requirements:
  • Accounting Qualification: Professional Accounting Qualification
  • Work Experience: Proven work experience as Financial Controller in a manufacturing company
  • Software Skills: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Teams and Outlook
  • Team Management: Team management and development experience
  • Time Management: Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations)
  • Problem Solving: Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options
