About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audience Strategist to lead our audience team and help us grow and engage our readership in innovative ways.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive audience strategy, identifying key trends, opportunities and areas for content improvement.

  • Lead on SEO and other digital best practices to maximise the reach and visibility of our content
  • Manage workflows, set clear objectives and provide regular feedback to the audience and social media team
  • Assist in managing social media accounts and develop premium subscription content
  • Maintain a keen understanding of emerging digital platforms and stay up to date with industry developments

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with reporters, editors and senior management to ensure that our journalism is reaching the widest possible audience and having the greatest impact.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in a fast-paced newsroom, strong analytical skills and expert level SEO expertise. You will also have effective project management skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as great leadership skills with an innate ability to teach and develop others.
