Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Internal Controls Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of internal control processes.

As an Internal Controls Specialist, you will collaborate with team members to identify efficiencies and improvements in internal controls. You will exercise judgment within defined processes to support internal control objectives and assist in monitoring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.

You will also participate in team discussions to provide insights and suggestions for process enhancements. To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to internal controls.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with governance framework development, risk management and compliance, control testing and monitoring, policy and procedure development, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools is a plus.
  • Relevant professional certificates are advantageous.
