Job Title:

Pharmaceutical Manager

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of pharmaceutical services, ensuring compliance with legislative, contractual, professional, and ethical obligations.

  • Manages the dispensing process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Directs and supervises pharmacy staff to achieve optimal performance
  • Monitors and manages pharmacy stock levels to maintain adequate inventory
  • Ensures data checking is performed in accordance with store operations
  • Provides expert advice to patients on the safe and appropriate use of medicines and complementary therapies
  • Guides and advises pharmacy staff on the safe and effective use of medicines and complementary therapies
  • Assesses patient symptoms, providing guidance on treatment options
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with patients, customers, and suppliers
  • Communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ensures accurate and timely transmission of pharmacy claims
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (unconditional registration)
  • A minimum of three years post-registration experience, preferably in an Irish retail pharmacy
  • Previous experience as a Pharmaceutical Manager (desired but not essential)
  • Extensive experience in operating a community pharmacy
  • Demonstrated capability to perform effectively as a pharmacist
  • Ability to form effective relationships with all stakeholders and customers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality services
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Honesty, integrity, and understanding of confidentiality principles
