Job Description

As an Accountant with our company, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and services to clients across a broad portfolio. This includes delivering services in audit, taxation, accountancy, and business advisory areas, as well as preparing and reviewing financial statements to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with clients, liaising regularly to provide proactive advice and services. You will also be responsible for managing and leading audit assignments independently, ensuring timely review and delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise closely with clients to understand their accounting needs and provide tailored advice and services.
  • Deliver services across audit, taxation, accountancy, and business advisory areas, including preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Manage and lead audit assignments independently, ensuring timely review and delivery of high-quality results.
  • Prepare month-end management accounts within strict deadlines, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Research and resolve technical accounting and taxation queries, providing expertise and guidance to clients and colleagues alike.
  • Prepare and submit Corporation Tax Returns and Company Secretarial Returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing Income Tax Returns and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, fostering professional development and growth within the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a small or medium-sized Irish accountancy practice.
  • Proven experience in leading audits independently, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Broad exposure across tax, audit, and accounting within general practice, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in accountancy practice software, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Preferred for Qualified Accountant (equivalent) but not mandatory; part-qualified candidates also considered who have prior experience as an accountant.
