Bid Manager Job Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid Manager to lead our estimating function. This newly created role requires strong leadership skills, enabling the candidate to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This position involves providing guidance and leadership to a team of estimators, implementing quality controls, developing bid documentation, and evaluating contractor and supplier bids. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or technical qualification and have significant experience in estimating and bid management within the construction industry. They should also have excellent knowledge of costs, markups, and margins, as well as experience managing subcontractors and leading teams.

  • Lead and develop professional excellence in the estimating function.
  • Manage the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure high standard bid submissions.
  • Develop bid documentation, project BOQs, and budgets.
  • Evaluate contractor and supplier bids and deliver category awards.
  • Support the procurement process by preparing cost estimates, derogations lists, and leading contract analysis.
