Digital Archivist and Librarian: Expanding Digital Collections

We are seeking a skilled Digital Archivist/Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in acquiring and preserving digital collections, as well as experience with holistic processes for capturing contemporary materials.
The role involves supporting the organization's strategic objective of expanding its collection formats and developing inclusive acquisition processes. This position enables us to collect representatively and capture the diversity of experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development of holistic processes for acquiring contemporary materials
- Collecting and preserving digital collections in a way that captures the diversity of Irish experiences
- Collaborating with IT professionals, librarians, archivists, software developers, and digitization operatives to develop and implement strategies for digital preservation
- Ensuring the representation and inclusivity of the Library's collections
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, or a related field
- Proven experience in digital collection management, acquisition, and preservation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
