Home Support Assistant

Delivering individualized support and care to an adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a fulfilling opportunity for the ideal candidate. We seek a reliable Home Support Assistant to collaborate in enhancing daily living experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, maintaining dignity and respect for the individual's needs
  • Prepare meals and snacks that cater to individual requirements and dietary preferences, ensuring nutritional balance
  • Provide companionship and social support, engaging the individual in activities they enjoy, promoting their happiness and well-being
  • Perform household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping, freeing time for personal pursuits
  • Promote independence by encouraging the individual to take ownership of their daily routine, empowering self-reliance

Applicants should hold a QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or be working towards this qualification. Supporting individuals with ASD is highly desirable but not essential. A clean driving licence and reliability are crucial requirements for this role.
