We are seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

Liaise with various stakeholders in relation to Health & Safety (H&S) activities, including the development and implementation of H&S procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with legislation, codes, standards, and industry best practice. The successful candidate will facilitate site teams in executing planned inspections, risk assessments, training needs analysis, PPE surveys, and occupational health & hygiene surveys. They will ensure all accidents and incidents are thoroughly recorded and investigated by Management to identify root causes and implement corrective actions as required. Additionally, they will publish monthly reports to management on incidents and accidents and work with external medical/occupational health resources to identify, control, and provide information to employees on site occupational health hazards.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing and implementing necessary H&S procedures and policies
  • Facilitating site teams in the execution of planned inspections
  • Ensuring all accidents and incidents are thoroughly recorded and investigated
  • Publishing monthly reports to management on incidents and accidents
  • Working with external medical/occupational health resources
  • Maintaining records of relevant H&S documentation
  • Monitoring and reviewing site specific H&S KPIs
  • Training or organising training for staff at all levels on H&S issues and responsibilities

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification in Occupational Safety and Health and have 1-2 years of experience in an H&S role. They should also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft package.
