Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is a key position that will play a hands-on role in shaping the future of our payment systems. As a member of our engineering team, you will have the freedom to design and implement critical components within our Payments solution.

You will be responsible for tackling complex architectural and infrastructure challenges to stabilise critical payment flows and prepare our systems for long-term reliability.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that Phorest can facilitate any type of financial transaction that occurs between our salons and their end customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Redesign and improve core components within the Payments solution
  • Tackle complex architectural and infrastructure challenges
  • Make informed, pragmatic technical decisions with autonomy
  • Champion and apply engineering best practices
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience building backend systems in object-oriented languages
  • Experience working in payments or similarly complex industries
  • Distributed systems design and development experience
  • AWS-based infrastructure experience
  • Collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional teams
