We're seeking a seasoned Tax Professional to join our team as an Indirect Tax Manager. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for raising awareness of VAT and promoting good practice, researching the client database and identifying opportunities, liaising with partners/managers to ensure clients' VAT issues are managed, providing training on VAT matters as required, managing the VAT team, including work delegation, and overseeing the training of junior staff.

This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical knowledge of VAT issues, combined with your practical experience in managing a team, working to tight deadlines, and helping to develop and train colleagues.

Job Requirements
  • CTA/ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of VAT issues
  • Practical experience of VAT issues, either through a tax environment or HMRC background
  • Experience in delivering tax projects
  • Experience in managing a team, working to tight deadlines, and helping to develop and train colleagues
  • Experience in taking the initiative on projects and advisory work
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately
  • The ability to work as part of a team, including across disciplines
  • A strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • A solutions-focused approach
