Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Manager

The role requires a skilled regulatory professional to lead the development and implementation of global regulatory strategies for safety-critical electronic products.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive global regulatory compliance strategy to ensure product conformity with international standards and directives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging international regulations, including CPR, RED, LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, UKCA, UL, and BSI.
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle to R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Manage product approvals and certifications for new and existing products, working closely with Notified Bodies and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure continued compliance.
  • Develop and maintain robust documentation to embed compliance within our Quality Management System (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
  • Support post-market surveillance, compliance monitoring, and recall processes as required.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering, Science, Law, or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a dedicated regulatory role within manufacturing, preferably in electronics or regulated consumer goods.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex product approvals and working with Notified Bodies.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills to simplify complex compliance requirements for various stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail, and project management skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently.
