As a Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch nursing services, including nurse consultations, anesthesia monitoring, inpatient care, reception support, and general clinic maintenance.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Veterinary Nurse. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and their pets, ensuring seamless communication and personalized care.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will also be committed to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Nurse consultations: including post-op checks, weight clinics, dental checks, puppy and kitten health advice, and other preventative care services
- Anesthesia monitoring and patient prep for surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Inpatient care: monitoring, administering medications, fluid therapy, and patient observation
- Reception and client support: assisting with bookings, taking calls, updating records, and managing client enquiries
- General clinic maintenance: ensuring equipment is clean and functional, stock control, and supporting day-to-day clinic operations
Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific needs of the practice and the preferences of the team members.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) or those with equivalent qualifications
- Recent graduates looking to build confidence in a supportive, hands-on setting
- Experienced nurses seeking a more flexible, community-focused role
- Locum nurses looking for some short-term structure
A good attitude, willingness to work as part of a small team, and a genuine interest in patient care are essential for this role.
