Job Summary

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of mechanical projects from conception to completion.

  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met, and objectives are achieved.
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Review and analyze contract documents, technical specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the project team, including mechanical specification reviews, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of mechanical documentation, including registers and logs.
  • Coordinate mechanical system handovers with site-based commissioning specialists.
  • Evaluate RFI responses and ensure engineering issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all project stakeholders are working with the latest mechanical specifications and drawings.
  • Prepare and submit technical submittals according to project specifications.
  • Populate test packs and collate test record sheets for system completion and close-out.
  • Support mechanical commissioning and verification activities.
  • Close out building regulations queries and documentation for compliance.
  • Collate O&M manual documentation for inclusion in final handover documents.
Key Requirements
  • A degree in a mechanical trade or engineering discipline.
  • Excellent Microsoft/PC skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
