Senior Electrical Engineer Position

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our global engineering team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing electrical distribution systems, ensuring world-class uptime for our customers, and driving continuous innovation in our data center footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution systems.
  • Communicate technical decisions to management effectively.
  • Drive change and define/design the systems our customers rely on.
  • Work with internal teams and external groups to understand user requirements and challenges.
  • Escalate issues as required and communicate clearly with people from diverse technical backgrounds.
  • Review and approve critical equipment submittals and provide technical support on large-scale events.
  • Maintain and host technical forums for development of data center electrical systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience with industrial or commercial electrical design.
  • Excellent understanding of applicable regional electrical code (NEC, CEC, etc).
  • In-depth understanding of critical data center electrical equipment and good working knowledge of BIM and Revit.
  • Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience directly related to data center or mission critical facility design and Professional Engineer qualification.
  • Detailed understanding of uninterruptable power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, and automatic/static transfer switches.
  • Familiarity with medium voltage distribution systems design.
