The Tax Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that Northern Trust meets its obligations regarding international withholding tax. This involves processing, scanning, recording, distributing, and filing large volumes of documentation received by the team on a daily basis. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working closely with relevant contacts within the scope of the process to provide the best possible service, responding to queries, and escalating as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Process, scan, record, distribute, and file large volumes of documentation received by the team daily
- Identify and track opportunities for the reduction of withholding tax on behalf of Northern Trust's global client base
- Escalate issues as appropriate in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed client expectations
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to tax processing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tax processing or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
