Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Department at our organization is looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance, operations, and project departments on equipment maintenance and reliability matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor day-to-day performance of systems
  • Troubleshoot performance trends
  • Anticipate, solve, or escalate problems as appropriate
  • Perform maintenance and improvement work on all equipment to enable full operations schedule adherence
  • Support the Preventative Maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life and optimize the efficiency of equipment
  • Support new product introductions and introduction of new equipment
  • Responsible and accountable for the safe accomplishment of activities to all statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate site, and department practices and procedures
  • Input into equipment design, construction, commissioning, and qualification activities
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel and other departments as required
  • Develop maintenance procedures and equipment files
  • Assist with generation, review, and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary
  • Develop and manage the critical equipment list
  • Analyze equipment data to report on equipment performance
  • Develop, standardize, and implement the latest maintenance approaches and techniques
  • Engineer out recurring equipment problems
  • Support investigation and resolution of problems
  • Familiar with daily activities in all areas of the Maintenance department
  • Deputize for Maintenance Manager as necessary
  • Rotate with other positions in the department as required
  • Facilitate an environment of continuous improvement
  • Lead investigations in the work area as necessary
  • Interface with Manufacturing department Supervisor, Manager, and Director level
  • Contact with Quality, Logistics, and Training departments

Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering
  • Reliability and/or Maintenance experience within a process or pharmaceutical cGMP regulated environment
  • Experience of best practices in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, RCM, or FMECA
  • Experience of Delta V, PLC, SCADA, and SAP systems
