Job Title: Manufacturing Equipment Specialist

The role of a Manufacturing Equipment Specialist is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of manufacturing processes. This includes monitoring production yield performance, identifying and resolving hardware/software issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage production yield performance on assigned lines
  • Identify and resolve hardware/software interfacing problems on the production floor
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders regarding productivity and efficiency issues
  • Liaise with operators about issues, concerns, and watch-outs on the lines
  • Test electrical systems, circuits, and wiring in processing equipment and fixtures
  • Plan, layout, and install processing equipment at workstations
  • Ensure product line performance by maximizing equipment productivity and minimizing yield loss
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration activities on assigned lines/processes

Requirements:
  • Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, Science, or related discipline, or trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or toolmaking
  • 2 years technician experience in manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of electronics and software control systems
  • Entry-level experience in modern manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with low/medium voltage electrical power systems, pneumatics, PLCs, instrumentation, hydraulics, calibration, AutoCAD, injection molding
