The Laois Volunteer Centre is looking for a board member with expertise in law and governance to play an active role in the organisation's strategic direction and governance.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the existing board members with varied backgrounds and perspectives.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to engage with and support the development of the Volunteer Centre in Laois.
Experience in good governance, writing and reviewing governance policies and procedures, and strategic planning and service development are essential skills for this position.
Additional desirable skills include experience as a volunteer or volunteer manager, board level experience in the non-profit sector, or experience in a non-profit organisation in Ireland.
Residing in Laois or having knowledge of the county would be beneficial in advancing the aims of the Volunteer Centre.
