Building Surveyor Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building regulations, construction standards, and energy efficiency assessments.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys on existing housing stock, utilizing costing and pricing tools, and preparing detailed reports.
  • This role involves working closely with project teams to deliver high-quality surveying services on large and small-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete surveys on existing housing stock, including local authority properties and similar bodies.
  2. Utilize costing and pricing tools to ensure sufficient fee generation.
  3. Conduct statutory property surveys on domestic properties.
  4. Prepare detailed and timely reports.
  5. Perform on-site inspections, accurately recording and reporting survey details.
  6. Undertake site visits and conduct surveys on various sites.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Property, or a Construction-related discipline.
  • Chartered Building Surveyor or on the path to becoming one.
  • Full clean driving license and ability to travel to sites.
  • CAD knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in tendering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction standards, and energy efficiency assessments (BER).
  • Self-motivated and computer literate (Word, Excel, etc.).
