Occupational Therapist - Specializing in Pediatric Care

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing specialist services to children and young people with complex disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with families and carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children, adhering to established professional standards, guidelines, and policy.

  • Assess and intervene in line with principles of Children's Disability Network Teams.
  • Provide therapeutic services to children and young people with a range of complex needs arising from a disability and living within the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Job Purpose: To work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist Occupational Therapy services to children and young people with complex disabilities.

Service Delivery: To assess and intervene in line with principles of Children's Disability Network Teams, providing therapeutic services to children and young people with a range of complex needs arising from a disability and living within the community.

  • To work in line with team service plans and objectives.
  • To support assessment and interventions in line with established professional standards, guidelines, and policy.
  • To provide strong emphasis on interdisciplinary team working and family-centred practice as per the principles of Progressing Disabilities for Children and Young People.
Requirements:

Essential Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • CORU registration or eligibility to register with CORU.
  • Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience, with paediatrics and experience working with children with complex disabilities.
Desirable Requirements:

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience in clinical supervision and leadership.
  • Full driving license and access to a car.
