We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Director of Nursing. This position involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing and social care services.

- Ensure clinical practice meets regulations and standards.
- Monitor clinical practice through individualised plans of care for each resident.
- Conduct internal audits and follow up on results.
- Provide initial induction and ongoing training for staff.
- Encourage innovative practice and ensure adherence to company and HIQA standards.
- Maintain administrative procedures in the absence of the administrator.
- Monitor administrative procedures.
- Knowledge of residents' fee income, funding sources, fee arrears, personal allowances, and financial records.
- Manage community units budgets effectively.
- Have an understanding of legislative requirements regarding financially impaired people.
- Hold regular communication meetings with all clinical staff.
- Establish good relationships with external agencies to bring the local community into the home.
- Liaise with marketing teams to increase visibility in the local community.
- Document and investigate complaints, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
- Implement company health and safety policies to safeguard staff, residents, and others.
- Regularly train staff on fire evacuation procedures.
- Ensure catering meets HACCP standards and is of high quality and variety.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the home.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Participate in staff selection and interviewing processes.
- Conduct regular training needs analysis.
- Ensure HR practices comply with current employment legislation.
- Verify that registered nurses employed in the home are on the live register.
