Job Title: Senior Audit Specialist

The company is a leading provider of consulting, audit, and tax services to clients. They are one of the fastest growing advisory firms in the country.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality audits and advice to clients on time and with minimal supervision.
  • Contributing to and assisting in the delivery of audit department goals, including planning and execution of assignments.
  • Leading multiple audit assignments concurrently and ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members to ensure quality, thoroughness, and completion of assignments within agreed timeframes.
  • Reporting on audit findings and raising any issues arising during the audit which may impact risk.
  • Dealing with escalated client issues from junior members of the audit team in a timely manner.
  • Executing client assignments using various audit and accounting applications.
  • Liaising with other departments to deliver audit and advisory services.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
  • Prior practice experience within an audit team.
  • Previous financial services audit experience is desirable.
  • Experience of CaseWare is an advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Experience in supervising junior staff members on audit assignments.
  • Client-focused with strong commercial expertise.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with strong communication and leadership potential.
