Senior Psychologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and developing individualized care plans for adults with disabilities.

  • Our ideal candidate will have strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • They will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated and holistic care, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Psychologist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and developing individualized care plans;
  • Providing therapeutic interventions and counseling to individuals and groups;
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated and holistic care;
  • Offering consultation and training to staff and caregivers to enhance service delivery;
  • Participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychology;
  • Full registration with the PSI;
  • Proven experience working with adults with disabilities;
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Working Conditions:

  • Own transport required.

Security Clearance:

  • All candidates will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
  • International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
