Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to join our Agentic and AI Engineering Tools team. In this role, you will contribute directly to the development and maintenance of test strategies and frameworks, design and implement automated tests, and closely collaborate with DevOps and Release Engineers.

The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative individual with a passion for working on complex projects in an open organization where contributions are valued and expected from all levels. This job role requires engaging in upstream open source communities.

This position reports directly to the Manager of Software Engineering and requires partnering collaboratively in our office at least 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboratively develop and maintain automation test strategies and frameworks.
  • Partner with Product Management, User Experience, and Engineering to identify and incorporate customer needs into testing strategies and feature designs.
  • Advocate for the resolution of critical issues and communicate their impact to the development team.
  • Monitor and participate in upstream AI/ML communities to evaluate new technologies and consider potential integrations.
  • Run technical initiatives that grow, improve, and scale existing processes.
  • Regularly communicate with project stakeholders, including other teams of engineers, product managers, consultants, management, and senior leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
  • Advanced experience scripting and creating automation in Python and Bash.
  • Experience testing distributed and containerized environments.
  • Experience implementing scalable automation frameworks in collaboration with Software, DevOps, and Release Engineers.
  • Experience creating automation for GitHub, using GitHub Actions or related continuous integration tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies.
