We are currently seeking an exceptional Theatre Staff Nurse to join our team at UPMC Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny. As a Theatre Staff Nurse, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based care to patients undergoing surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing surgery, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with consultant surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of patient care, including medication administration, vital signs, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in education and training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge in theatre nursing.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and a culture of respect.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold current registration in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by NMBI.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in theatre nursing, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient care.
  • A relevant theatre qualification is highly desirable.
