Senior Engineer Job Description

As a Senior Engineer, you will lead technical teams in designing and implementing customer projects. You will take a comprehensive approach to problem-solving, learning the details of each project's mechanical, electrical, and software systems.

Responsibilities
  • Owns and leads the technical aspects of projects with small to medium-sized teams.
  • Assists in identifying changes in project scope and developing change orders.
  • Translates functional requirements to system configuration.
  • Designs control system network architectures and control strategies.
  • Serves as a technical contact for customers.
  • Programs controllers and configures automation equipment.
  • Selects automation equipment and instrumentation.
  • Designs electrical control cabinets and panels with support from CAD technicians.
  • Tests the system configuration to verify functions.
Requirements
  • Professional level English skills.
  • Engineering Degree (MBO, HBO, MS, or BS).
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer or Engineering Technology or related degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation.
  • Proficient on one or more of the following platforms: Inductive Automation Ignition, Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PlantPAx, FactoryTalk, Emerson DeltaV, Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure, PowerSCADA, National Instruments LabVIEW, Siemens S7, PCS7, WinCC.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ Years in project management, including project financials.
  • 2+ Years leading technical projects and engineering teams.
