Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Advisor to join our team for a new project in Waterford, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Regular Site Audits: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards through regular site audits and inspections.
- Develop Health and Safety Induction Programs: Create and deliver induction programs for new employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety.
- Organize Safety Meetings: Chair safety meetings to engage staff and sub-contractors in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Evaluate Sub-Contractor Safety Statements: Assess and approve sub-contractor safety statements and method statements to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Advise on Method Statements: Provide guidance on drafting and communicating effective method statements to site management.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and incidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Perform risk assessments and implement measures to reduce risks, overseeing health, safety, and welfare risk management.
This is a proactive role requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to present information effectively to different audiences at project and business unit levels.
