Senior Meat Processing Process Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to drive improvements in production efficiency, capital projects, and maintenance operations at a high-volume meat packing facility.
Main Responsibilities:- Enhance packaging line efficiency by reducing downtime, increasing yield through better use of primal cuts, and implementing automation technologies such as vision inspection and auto-loading.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), waste reduction, and energy consumption.
- Lead capital projects, including refrigeration system replacement for regulatory compliance, vendor selection, budgeting, and phased rollout.
- Manage Maintenance Manager and team of 5 FTEs to deliver preventative maintenance, resolve breakdowns, and build a skills matrix and training plan.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in food manufacturing engineering with 3+ years in meat or poultry processing.
- Proven track record leading CAPEX projects exceeding €1M.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, including F-gas, ammonia, and CO2.
- Technical skills in Lean Six Sigma and proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
