Job Role:

About the Position:

  • We seek a skilled and experienced technician to undertake installation, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment, and modification of production equipment.
  • The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems associated with high-volume manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, modify, and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal plant operations.
  • Continuously improve process efficiency, reducing downtime and waste.
  • Assist in validating new and existing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Liaise with suppliers, engineering shops, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Analyse customer complaints and internal quality issues to implement corrective actions.
  • Train and develop junior technicians, new recruits, and apprentices to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Maintain accurate recording and reporting systems to support informed decision-making.
  • Utilise IT/processing systems effectively to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Promote a culture of safety and housekeeping throughout the organisation.

Requirements:

  • A recognised third-level qualification or national craft certificate is essential.
  • Relevant industrial experience in high-volume manufacturing processes is crucial.
  • A scientific approach to problem-solving and analytical thinking are necessary for success in this role.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and software applications is essential for effective performance.
