
Production Equipment Technician

Job Role:
About the Position:
- We seek a skilled and experienced technician to undertake installation, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment, and modification of production equipment.
- The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems associated with high-volume manufacturing processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Install, modify, and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal plant operations.
- Continuously improve process efficiency, reducing downtime and waste.
- Assist in validating new and existing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, engineering shops, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Analyse customer complaints and internal quality issues to implement corrective actions.
- Train and develop junior technicians, new recruits, and apprentices to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Participate in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and excellence.
- Maintain accurate recording and reporting systems to support informed decision-making.
- Utilise IT/processing systems effectively to streamline processes and improve productivity.
- Promote a culture of safety and housekeeping throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
- A recognised third-level qualification or national craft certificate is essential.
- Relevant industrial experience in high-volume manufacturing processes is crucial.
- A scientific approach to problem-solving and analytical thinking are necessary for success in this role.
- Candidates must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in PC skills and software applications is essential for effective performance.
