Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Qualification:
  • A degree or master's in occupational therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with CORU or proof of pending registration at application stage.

Additionally, you should possess:

  • Knowledge and Experience:
  • Knowledge of individual care planning and experience contributing to individual risk assessment.
  • Post-qualification work experience as an occupational therapist within disability services/mental health services.
  • Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Experience in implementing sensory integration approaches with a recognized sensory integration course completed.

You will also need to demonstrate:

  • Essential Skills:
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and judgment.
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
