Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to provide specialist speech and language therapy services in the ENT and voice service. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments, treatments, and information regarding communication and swallowing abilities of individuals.

About the Role:
  • Provide comprehensive specialist assessments, treatments, and information regarding communication and swallowing abilities of individuals, ensuring full client and family involvement, underpinned by a broad range of specialist knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and run the SLT-led clinic in ENT in conjunction with relevant ENT consultants and the SLT manager.
  • Develop skills required to provide a specialist innovative service and advance SLT practice in the area as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Statutory registration as a Speech and Language Therapist by the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • 5 years full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience in the required area of specialism.
  • Demonstrate a proven record of clinical excellence in the specialism with achievements in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching, and research.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of the Irish Health Service.
  • Competency in Endoscopy, FEES, and/or Videofluoroscopy.
