The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To complete duties in the kitchen and service areas as directed to ensure an efficient and hygienic service is provided.
  • To assist with food preparation as required.
  • To transport all food items, cleaning materials, and laundry from the delivery area to kitchen store-rooms and to kitchen preparation areas as needed.
  • Responsible for the cleaning of kitchen floors, walls, waste bins, hot plates, kitchen equipment, and all other areas as necessary to maintain a hygienic kitchen and service area.
  • To clean, wash, dry, and polish all kitchen equipment and service items by hand or machine efficiently.
  • Operate all necessary sterilizing equipment.
  • To operate all heavy equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Responsible for the correct disposal and recycling of all rubbish.
