Job Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the sales and marketing department, you will play a crucial role in promoting leading brands across various retail outlets.

Key responsibilities include increasing product distribution, implementing national and locally agreed planograms, developing strong relationships with store managers and staff, and ensuring all agreed marketing activities are executed effectively.

  • Increase Distribution: Maintain and expand product availability in targeted retail outlets, ensuring high visibility in impulse areas that align with sales targets.
  • Merchandising Excellence: Implement planograms that create impactful displays, fully stocked shelves, and aligned promotional campaigns.
  • Retailer Engagement: Develop strong relationships with store managers and staff to influence stock decisions, secure prime shelf space, and optimize promotional execution.
  • In-Store Execution: Ensure effective implementation of all agreed marketing activities, POS materials, and promotional mechanics.
  • Stock Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Track product availability, resolve stock issues, and coordinate with supply chain teams to minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Sales Tracking & Reporting: Provide regular feedback on sales performance, competitor activity, and market trends via digital tools and direct communication with management.
  • Journey Planning & Call Compliance: Follow a structured journey plan to maximize call efficiency and ensure all target retailers are visited as per schedule.
Key Skills and Experience Required
  • A full clean driving license is essential for this role.
  • Experience in FMCG & alcohol sales is required.
  • A strong knowledge of leading brands and market trends is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required.
  • A results-driven mindset is essential for success in this position.
  • The ability to use technology for reporting and planning is vital.
  • A hands-on approach to merchandising is expected.
  • High energy levels and self-motivation are essential qualities for this role.
